Who he is: Black started sailing when he was 13 when his uncle, who was part of the national sailing squad in China, showed him pictures of racing yachts and it fired his imagination. His Dongfeng journey in the 2014-15 edition was not without twists and turns, and at one point he walked away from the team, not convinced he had what it takes to do the race. However, he came back and earned a place on board for four legs of the race in the 2014-15 edition.
