What he does: Peter is responsible for half of the stopovers, working closely with the Local Organising Committees, Teams and Stakeholders on all operational aspects leading to the delivery of a fantastic set of Race Villages together with the accompanying logistics and infrastructure.
Who he is: An event logistics expert, Peter knows the race well but he has also worked on America's Cup, Formula 1, offshore world championship powerboating, off-road adventure expeditions in deserts and jungles, and the World Cup of football. Before being reunited with the race in 2013, Peter was the Onshore Operations Director for the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco.
He speaks: English.
Something about him that you don't know: He once worked on a livestock ship sailing from Kuwait to Australia with the return voyage taking place some months later on a 195m vessel carrying 120,000 live sheep.
