Edgar, Hong Kong based bulk food store, joins Clean Seas
Edgar has agreed to support the UN Environment #CleanSeas campaign.
Edgar is a Bulk food store based in Hong Kong and has been encouraging a zero-waste lifestyle since its founding in 2017. As a food retailer specialising in natural, organic, and fair trade products, Edgar has in its store wall bins and glass jars of food products to encourage consumers to bring their own containers when shopping. The store also buys in bulk from its suppliers, fully acknowledging the logistical and environmental benefits in doing so.
The opening of its third store, part cafe and part grocery, will see its commitment to a plastic-free community progressively expand through the offering of takeaway meals in reusable containers. Edgar also organises do-it-yourself workshops to encourage the general public to make plastic reduction an integral part of their lifestyle.
