For In-Port Race, Legs - High Points 7 for a win, 1 for last, 0 for a letter score DNS, DNC, OCS.

Available Leg Points

ALC-LIS: 7 points for winner + 1 bonus point for winner = 8

LIS- CPT: 7 points for winner + 1 bonus point for winner = 8

CPT-MEL: 14 points for winner + 1 bonus point for winner =15

MEL-HKG: 7 points for winner + 1 bonus point for winner = 8

HKG-CAN-HKG: 1 point for attending = 1

HGK-AKL: 7 points for winner + 1 bonus point for winner = 8

AKL-ITJ: 14 points for winner + 1 bonus point for winner +1 point for first around the horn = 16

ITJ-NEW: 7 points for winner + 1 bonus point for winner = 8

NEW-CAR: 14 points for winner + 1 bonus point for winner =15

CAR-GOT: 7 points for winner + 1 bonus point for winner = 8

GOT-THG: 7 points for winner + 1 bonus point for winner = 8

Total elapsed time for the race = 1 point

(Non-finishers of a leg get the same time as the last finisher +24hrs)

Ties on overall points broken by the In-Port Race standings. 

This means from CPT onwards the overall standings can be changed during a stopover

In-Port Race Points

If an In port race cannot be held on the scheduled day the points will be awarded based on the performance of the in port section of the Leg start.

In HKG the In-Port points will be awarded on the combined performance of the In-Port race and the Round Island race with ties broken on the performance in favour of the last result at the venue.

Jury Penalty Points

Still to be finalised but the intention is that for minor procedural breaches penalty points will be deducted from the In-Port Race scores. 

For repeated or more serious breaches the penalty points will be applied to the overall race points. 

For breaches that affect the performance on a leg, the penalty points will be applied to that leg.

Ties

If Boats are tied on points as a result of a jury decision they shall share any race prize.
