Something about her that you don't know: She joined the Italian Air Force after graduating school and is a qualified crossfit instructor.
Who she is: Francesca has competed at two Olympic Games – London 2012 and Rio 2016 – in the Laser Radial and 49er FX classes, becoming World Champion in the latter in 2015. She is new to offshore sailing but is delighted to step up to the Volvo Ocean Race as part of a campaign skippered by her hero, Dee Caffari
