Something about him that you don't know: Before choosing sailing as his professional career path, Peter studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Auckland.
Who he is: Kiwi hero Burling comes into the Volvo Ocean Race fresh from a whirlwind 12 months in which he's won Olympic gold and the America's Cup as the driver on Emirates Team New Zealand. He now lines up against long-term sailing partner Blair Tuke as the pair battle it out to become the first sailor to win the sport's Triple Crown.
