Something about him that you don't know: Luke says his most inspirational figure is Dr Paul Harden – an inspirational doctor who has transformed the lives of hundreds of young people with kidney failure.
Who he is: Luke last competed in the Volvo Ocean Race in 2005-06 onboard Team ABN AMRO TWO alongside Simeon Tienpont and the pair have been firm allies ever since. He brings bags of experience to the team, and as a time-served sailmaker he will be responsible for keeping the boat’s vast sail inventory in optimum condition during the eight-month race.
