Carla Nebreda

What she does: Carla looks after the relationships with the Race stakeholders including sponsors, partners, suppliers and participating teams.

Who she is: Passionate about sport at all levels, Carla grew up between Bilbao and Lanzarote, and always had a love for nature, travel and design. She learnt the tricks of her trade when working for a major sports marketing agency in Madrid, and has been part of the Volvo Ocean Race family since 2011. Carla recently returned to the Race after spending a year in Switzerland working for an international sport federation, during which she was part of the event team for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. 

She speaks: fluent in Spanish and English but can also get by in French, German, Italian and Portuguese

Something about her that you don't know: She’s an endurance sport junkie and when not at work you will most likely find her in the water, on a bike or climbing up mountains on skis.
