Susie Walker

Department: Commercial 

What she does: I manage the relationships between the organisation (Volvo Ocean Race) and our stakeholders (teams and partners) 

Who she is: After over a decade working at OC Sport (formerly Offshore Challenges) on various sailing campaigns, including the Ellen MacArthur RTW, Vendee Globe, Barcelona World Race, The Transat, Extreme Sailing Series and the Dongfeng Race Team 2014/15 Volvo Ocean Race, Susie joined the team at Volvo Ocean Race in August 2016. Born on the Isle of Wight, she’s been a resident of Spain since 2010 with a home in Mallorca.. and now an apartment in Alicante.

Something about her that you don't know: Susie was on the inaugural Air China flight from Beijing to Barcelona (via Vienna), May 2014, joined by the full compliment of the Air China Choir, who posed as passengers until the agreed moment when they burst into song along the aisles of the plane lead by a famous opera singer!
