Tom Kiff

What he does: Tom has two roles with Team Vestas Wind. As the only dedicated shore crew and takes on a wide variety of jobs to ensure the yacht is kept in top racing condition. From rigging, to boat building to making sure all the systems in the boat are serviced and operational. He is also their first reserve under 30.

Who he is: Tom is a highly experienced sailor who has competed in both off- and inshore race campaigns globally. He is also formally trained in marine engineering and during recent years worked for Americas Cup, TP52 and maxi circuit campaigns as shore crew. Happy to turn his hand to pretty much anything, Tom is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of high performance yacht maintenance including mechanics, hydraulics, rigging and boatbuilding.
