Something about him that you don't know: He grew up in Western Australia, and when he isn't sailing, he surfs, skates and goes camping.
Who he is: Johnson quickly rose through the elite ranks of 49er and moth sailing before making a leap into the Volvo Ocean Race with Team Vestas Wind in 2014-15. When their race came to an abrupt halt in the Indian Ocean on Leg 2, he joined up with Team ORACLE USA in the America's Cup as a wing trimmer. Now he's back onboard a Volvo Ocean 65 and eager to shine.
