Álvaro de Haro

Department: The Boatyard

What he does: in charge of everything inside the Volvo Ocean 65 engine room. Manages the workshop engineering container, spare parts and tools required for the maintenance periods.

Who he is: a Madrid kid who rapidly realised he needed the sea. Álvaro moved to the coast and has been sailing since he was young. Studied mechanical engineering and started a family business during the 32 America's Cup. He has been in love with sailing and high technology since then.

He speaks: Spanish and English.

Something about him that you don't know: interested by any kind of mechanism, trying to understand and make it run properly. Álvaro loves to restore old cars and motorcycles.
