Antonio Bolaños López

What he does: Directs and controls the work and resources of the Volvo Ocean Race, providing strategic advise and guidance to the CEO and the Board, and ensures the recruitment and retention of the required numbers and types of well-motivated, trained and developed staff to ensure we achieve our mission and objectives.

Who he is: Antonio’s main background is in financial management and strategy. He worked as a financial planning director for Optenet as well as corporate controller and internal audit director for Abengoa Bioenergia in the USA. He’s also been an auditing manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

He speaks: Spanish and English.

Something about him that you don't know: He loves sports and events – Antonio says he could not work in a better place to combine both.
