Something about him that you don't know: Bernardo knew from the age of eight that he wanted to sail for a living – and admits that he's 'addicted' to high-speed offshore racing.

Who he is: With some key racing experience behind him, Portugal's Bernardo Freitas turns his attention to the Volvo Ocean Race keen to develop his big boat and offshore skills. An Olympian at London 2012, he has also competed in the World Match Racing Tour and in the Extreme Sailing Series.
