Something about her that you don't know: Cecile has a strong engineering background and has a First Class Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Auckland. After graduation, she joined the Emirates Team New Zealand shore team for the 34^th America’s Cup.

Who she is: Cecile joins team AkzoNobel to achieve a lifelong dream of competing in the Volvo Ocean Race. In 2014-15, she trialled with Team SCA, and spent 6 months training intensely with the squad but didn’t make the final selection – taking on a shore role with The Boatyard. Since then, she has logged many offshore racing and sailing miles, competing on the Figaro circuit and several national championships and Grand Prix regattas around the world.
