Jiru Yang 'Wolf'

Something about him you don't know: Outside of sailing, Wolf also has a goal to compete in a body building competition before the age of 30.

Who he is: Wolf was introduced to the sport of sailing by his roommate at Xiamen University and soon started to dream of being an international racing sailor, sticking two post-it notes on his wall; ‘Volvo Ocean Race’ and ‘America’s Cup’. Wolf was on board for six legs of the race in 2014-15 race and is back with the team for more in the 13th edition.

What he said: “It’s such an honour to sail again with this team,” he said. “On the boat during the hard moments, I sometimes said to myself that I would never do it again, but there are good memories too, that’s why I have come back again."
